HIPPY Canada

The HIPPY Canada national office is structured to meet the needs of local and regional community groups and organizations that are interested in, or currently operate, HIPPY programs.  The HIPPY Canada national office was created in 2001 in response to a burgeoning interest in the HIPPY program across the nation.  HIPPY Canada received its first federal funding in 2003 from the National Literacy Secretariat (NLS).  HIPPY is fully available in English and French.

Currently eleven HIPPY sites are operating in Canada in five provinces (British Columbia, Quebec, Alberta, Nova Scotia and Ontario) and six First Nations.

Launched in 2001, Aboriginal HIPPY is a unique and integrated education system that supports Indigenous children and families.
